This document is a working draft prepared by EmailRoute and is pending review by qualified legal counsel for the jurisdictions in which we operate.
1. Introduction
EmailRoute provides business email addresses (and, where available, SMS numbers) that customers may rent for a fixed period. Messages sent to a rented address are received, processed and displayed inside the customer's EmailRoute inbox.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and legally able to enter into a contract. You may not use the platform where doing so is prohibited by law.
3. Account Registration
You are responsible for providing accurate information, keeping your password and API keys secure, and for all activity carried out through your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Email & SMS Services
- Specific Service plan — one selected service for the rental term.
- All Services plan — every supported service for the rental term.
- Rentals run for 30 days from activation unless stated otherwise.
- Incoming messages are delivered to your inbox while the rental is active.
- Rentals can be renewed before or shortly after expiry, subject to availability.
- Historical messages remain visible according to our Message Retention Policy.
5. Payments
Wallet funding and rentals are charged in Nigerian Naira at the prices shown at the time of purchase. Payments are handled by our payment provider. Failed or incomplete payments do not create a rental. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy. Report unauthorised transactions to support without delay.
6. Expiration
Email rentals remain active for the purchased period. When a rental expires without renewal, the email identity stops receiving new messages. Historical records may remain available in line with our retention policy.
7. Acceptable Use
You must use the platform lawfully and responsibly, and in line with the Acceptable Use Policy and the rules of any third-party service you interact with.
8. Prohibited Activities
You must not use EmailRoute for fraud, phishing, identity theft, account takeover, impersonation, spam, malware distribution, harassment, circumvention of security systems, abuse of third-party services, or any activity prohibited by applicable law.
9. Suspension
We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in abuse, fraud, illegal activity or serious violations of these Terms, with or without prior notice where the risk requires it.
10. Service Availability
The service depends on third-party infrastructure, internet connectivity and external platforms. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that any third party will accept messages from a rented address.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EmailRoute is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. This section is pending review by qualified legal counsel for each jurisdiction in which we operate.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes are published here with a new version number and effective date, and existing customers are notified in the application.
